What is the Summer Solstice?
Middle Tennessee’s young professionals come together to celebrate the longest day and shortest night of the year – “Midsummer Night’s Eve” – with a huge beach party to help local charitable organizations. Last year’s event attracted hundreds of partygoers and collected thousands of dollars for charity.
The 5th annual Summer Solstice will be held on the beach at Nashville Shores on Friday, June 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This is a 21 and older event.
Following an ancient European tradition, the highlight of the Summer Solstice is a series of “bonfires” on Percy Priest Lake. These roaring fires will serve as the backdrop for a raging party (and even more bonfires) just a few feet away on the shore.
Popular local band, Burning Las Vegas, will entertain as partygoers enjoy the fires, food, drink, live music and paddlewheel boat cruises throughout the evening. Burning Las Vegas is Nashville's foremost funk, rock, rhythm & blues soul band featuring a blazing hot horn section, a rhythm section workin' the groove and topping that off with three captivating and powerful female vocalists that can shake you out of your shoes.
